Review Time!!! Kiss Brand Nail Dress

Well it's that time again...
Got another VoxBox from Influenster
(Thank you to them!!!)
Anyway, of all the things that I got, I was most excited to try out the nail dresses.
They seem so much easier than painting your nails and trying to design them yourself.

Here is the stock photo of what I got
(this isn't the design I got though)
I was so excited to try them, that I only waited a few hours after I got my box before I opened them and used them.

And I'm still not 100% sure how I feel about them.
It seems to be a love-hate relationship in my head.
Some of what was said on the packaging held up, but other parts didn't in my head.

Here are my likes and dislikes...
Likes: The design is pretty, they have lasted (mostly)for at least ten days, and they had plenty of sizes for all different nails.
Dislikes: They were really difficult to put on, taking off the excess messed up part of the design on the nails,  and they started chipping off after a couple of days.

When I say that they were difficult to put on, I mean it.
They didn't go on straight half of the time and by the time they did, the adhesive had been worn down.
I couldn't get the end of the sticker to lay down flat, no matter what I did.
I ended up with bumps across all of them.

Here is what my nails looked like after about 4 days...
See?
They don't look terrible, but I hate that every time I turn around, it felt like they were still coming off, piece by piece.
I got lucky because the nail design I received was relatively see through, so you didn't notice much from a distance that they had chipped.
I'm worried though that the full colored ones won't look so well.

Next, I'm going to review the Tide Pods that I received in my VoxBox.
It doesn't seem like a beauty product, but it makes clothes clean
and clothes make us pretty, so it works out.

Apologies

I'm sorry that I haven't written anything in a while.
It has been completely crazy in my life and I just didn't have the time to do both.

Luckily, I am finally having some slower days so I can work on everything on here.
I am in the process of a video, and I hope it works out.
:)

I was also going to make a different video about my trip to Illinois
on my other blog, but unfortunately, bunny videos and a cell picture just won't cut it.

If you want to hear about my trip and don't know about my other blog,
here you go...

If I have any other updates, I will let everyone know.
Thank you.
:)

In other news...

I know that I was supposed to have a video up by now,
but I have just been so busy that I haven't yet had the time.
I thought that while I was working on it that I would talk about my other blog.

Its about my relationship with my boyfriend.
We have a long distance relationship
and I thought that I could talk about what we go through and maybe
or hopefully help any other couples that are dealing with the same thing.

So if you would like, you can go over there are read it.
:)
And if you have any thoughts about our relationship
or any advice that you would like to give,
please do so.

My first video

So when I started this blog, I didn't think that I wanted to do any videos for it.
I feel like I write really well and that I shouldn't have to worry about it.

But then I thought about how more personable it would be if I did make some videos.
That way people would be able to see me and how I am
and what kind of things that I like.
I realize that just reading isn't always helpful to everyone.

So I will be working on that and will hopefully have it up soon.

Items I've recently bought

So I was trying to think of something that I could do instead of just reviewing products all the time, and I am always interested in what other people are buying.
I am one of those girls that watches the beauty gurus on Youtube to see what they are getting and what they think about them.
I don't have quite the means that they do to buy a lot of expensive makeup. I always make sure to keep in my own range and I hardly ever feel like I'm spending a lot of money on makeup.
With that being said, this is some of the stuff that I bought recently while shopping with my mom:

These are the products and colors that I purchased:

*Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed Powder in 012-Buff Beige
*Covergirl Lash Blast Volume in Very Black
*L'Oreal Paris Visible Lift Foundation in 146-Nude Beige
*Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heave Duty Concealer in Light
*Conair double sided brush

Just so you know, I don't need the Visible Life foundation for any particular reason. I thought that it would be a good makeup to use to help prevent future wrinkles and maybe even help with acne marks and it has a SPF of 17, which I love. Protecting my skin is a big deal for me.

I also love using the small end of that brush to blend in my concealer. I know it is used for foundation, but it small that I would rather use a larger one... which I already have.
It blends out the outer edges of the concealer really well and it doesn't take any of the product off of my skin.

P.S: If any one that actually reads this has any suggestions on things I can write about, I would love to know what someone else has to give as input.
Thanks in advance
:)

Hair Obsession. :) Macademia Natural Oil

So for the longest time,
probably about 10 years now, I have obsessed with my hair.
I have natural blonde hair, but I did change it up a bit.
I've bleached it to make it lighter.
Got tired of it and dyed it chocolate brown
and I've even had it bright candy red.

With all of that chemical in my hair, I have done some serious damage.
I try to get my hair trimmed on a regular basis, but since I don't like getting my hair cut,
I usually avoid it the best I can.
I use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
and on a regular basis, I use a deep conditioner.
I let it sit in my hair for about an hour and then rinse it out.

And I always use some kind of leave-in conditioner
or hair oil.
For a while I was using a bottle of argan oil and while I liked it a lot
by the time it was empty and I needed to buy a new one
I decided to look for a new one.

And I found the Macademia Natural Oil products
and  I have been obsessed with them.

I only have the travel sizes because I wanted to make sure they worked
and I will DEFINITELY be buying more when these run out.

This is my ultimate favorite!
It works unbelievably well, especially when my hair was being bleached
all the time.
From the very first time I used to it until now, my hair has felt so much better.
This is what I use when I don't plan on using heat on my hair and I love it so much.
My hair never feels oily after I use it and my hair now always feel super soft.
I even like the smell too.
At first, I thought it smelled a little odd, but it has grown on me.
I would recommend this to anyone whose hair needs moisture.

While I don't love this as much as the oil, this still works amazing!
I use it when I am going to blow dry my hair and when I know that I am going to be curling
or straightening my hair at some point during the day.
It leaves my hair so soft and even gives it a little bit of texture
which I love when I'm doing my hair.
I feel like my hair styles better when it has texture
and it looks a little bit messier.

I love these products so much
and I can't wait to try the other ones
and buy full sized bottles of them.

Body obsession!!! Aveeno Edition

I, like most girls, have tried tons of different products
promising moisture and vitality to our skin.
And while I'm only 22 and am fortunate to have very few skin problems
(I have oily skin that breaks out occasionally and skin discoloration)
I still want to protect my skin for the future
to prevent damage.
I think that prevention at a young age is a great way to help have healthier skin in the future.

Anyway, I have used many different types of lotions and creams
but none of them ever seemed to work that well for my skin.
Until one day I was watching random beauty videos on YouTube.com
when I ran across one where the lady (I can't remember who it was)
was raving about the Aveeno® Positively Radiant® Night Cream.
She seemed so excited about how well it worked, that I decided I would try it myself.
I loved it!
I then decided to try the daily moisturizers and I fell in love with them too.

I use the Positively Radiant® Daily Moisturizing face lotion in the morning
after washing my face.
I use about two pumps and it covers my whole face and down my neck.
I love that it easily and quickly absorbs into my skin and instantly
gives my a skin a glow.
My skin has become so much softer and smoother
and looks more healthy every time I use it.
I also love that it has SPF 30 in it
It is healing and protecting my skin at the same time.

Then at night I use the Positively Radiant® Intensive Night Cream with vitamin B3.
I remove all of my makeup with a makeup removing lotion and then gently wash my face.
Most nights I use a cream wash and then just a couple of times a week (about 3)
I will use a face scrub to get the extra skin off.
The night cream is just as wonderful as the daily face lotion.
It does take a lot longer to absorb,
but after the first night that I used it, I immediately fell in love with it.
I woke up and my skin was already so much softer and smoother.
Over the time that I have been using it,
I have noticed that my face has a natural glow to it
even without anything on my face.

Finally, I use the regular daily lotion for the rest of my body in the morning when i wake up.
I love that it doesn't have a fragrance, just so that I don't have to match my perfume to it.
I am able to put whatever perfume or body spray I want to fit my mood.
I also love how my skin has changed since I started using it.
I am almost through my second bottle and I know I will
be going through so many more of them.
My skin's texture is so much smoother and I have noticed
that my skin never dries out and I live in southern California
where its really hot and dry in the summer.

I can't wait to see what the long term effects of using them are going to be,
right now I'm loving them.

For the love of shoes. (Dr.Scholl's for Her)

So I love shoes.
Maybe not any more than any other female,
but definitely more than any one I know.

Seriously though,
I own 22 pairs of flip flops...
FLIP FLOPS?!?!

Not to mention heels.
They are my favorite.
The only problem is that they tend to hurt my feet.
No one is going to enjoy you walking around looking like a baby giraffe.

Recently, I received the Something Blue VoxBox from Influenster.
And of all the things that I have wanted to try for a long time
was the gel inserts for heels.
And they were wonderful enough to send me a pair.

These are my lifesaver!
I was able to walk around in my favorite pair of high heels
and feel totally comfortable.

They fit so well in my shoes
and they even managed to stick.

I'm going to get another pair just to put in a couple of other pairs of heels.
That is how much I love them.
They make wearing heels so much more enjoyable.

Super amazing Q-tips®!!!

Who doesn't love Q-Tips®?
They are literally the most useful item ever!

I have always loved them.
used and abused them to no end.
They are great for whatever you need them for.

If you need to fix your makeup,
just dip them in some makeup remover and go on with your day.
Need to clean the nail polish from your skin,
Easily helps taking it off without ruining your nails.

Lately, I have been using the Precision Tips
and I have been OBSESSED with them.
They make it even easier to perfect my makeup.

They are so helpful that I use several a day and I am already almost through the
first of the two packs that Influenster graciously sent me.
I will definitely be buying more of them.

I love that they are pointed.
I can clean my water lines out
and I can smudge my eyeliner about 10 times quicker.

They can get into smaller spaces and
into little corners that the original ones can't.

They are wonderful
and I would definitely recommend them.

First Impression: Luster Now! Toothpaste

One of the things in my Voxbox that I was so excited to try was the toothpaste.
I know it sounds weird, but I am oddly obsessed with toothpaste.

So when I opened the box, I was immediately attracted to it.

When I first opened the package, my initial thought was that it was a good sized container of
the product for me to try.
I liked it because I don't think that a small tube would be able to really show how well the
product would work.

According to the red box that this came in, it claims that you will see
"Whiter teeth after one brushing"
Which also makes me excited, I love having white teeth and I work hard at getting them white.

I have tried PLENTY of other types of teeth whitening products,
so I'm excited to see how well this works over the course of the next few weeks.

So when I first opened the toothpaste, it was blue.
I mean very blue.
But I have used blue toothpaste before and didn't really think it would be any different
but I was wrong.

It doesn't turn into a white foam like the other ones do,
this one stays blue.
It kind of looked like I was brushing my teeth with a blue juice.

So that kind of weirded me out, but more importantly,
I wanted to see if its claim was true.
Who wouldn't like whiter teeth after just brushing them once.
And I feel like they did get a little but whiter,
not overwhelmingly more white, but enough for me to notice.
Which makes me feel positive about the future with this product.
Hopefully it will continue working and by the end of the bottle
my teeth will be a lot whiter than they were when I started.
